These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website, video lessons, materials, and services provided by Accounting Made Easy (the "Platform"). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
1. Description of Service
Accounting Made Easy provides online educational video lessons and study materials primarily intended for Canadian CPA students preparing for the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP) and the Common Final Examination (CFE). The Platform is designed as a supplemental study aid to help users better understand core accounting, assurance, taxation, finance, and governance topics.

Accounting Made Easy is an independent, privately operated educational platform.
We are NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, approved by, or in any way officially associated with:
- CPA Canada (Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada)
- CPA Ontario or any other provincial or territorial CPA body
- The CPA Professional Education Program (PEP) official curriculum providers
- The Board of Examiners for the Common Final Examination (CFE)
- Any university, college, or official CPA education delivery partner
References to CPA exam topics, PEP modules, or CFE competencies are made for educational reference only. Our use of terminology does not imply any official relationship or endorsement.
4. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform — including but not limited to video lessons, transcripts, lesson descriptions, graphics, text, logos, and software — is the exclusive property of Accounting Made Easy or its licensors and is protected by Canadian and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or otherwise exploit any content from the Platform without prior written permission, except for limited personal, non-commercial educational use as permitted by applicable fair dealing provisions under Canadian law.
5. User Accounts and Access
To access certain paid content, you must create an account and complete the required payment. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
One-time access purchases are valid for the period stated at the time of purchase and are non-refundable except as required by applicable consumer protection laws.
6. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ACCOUNTING MADE EASY, ITS OWNERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE PLATFORM, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid to us (if any) in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Accounting Made Easy and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
8. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
9. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Platform after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
